Aos 31 anos, se tornará o segundo arqueiro que mais vezes entrou em campo pelo Corinthians, chegando à incrível marca de 395 partidas pelo Timão e igualando o recorde de Gylmar dos Santos Neves (falecido em 2013).

A liderança pertence a Ronaldo, com 602 jogos entre 1988 e 1998.

A bola rola às 21h30, em Avellaneda, província de Buenos Aires, na Argentina. Em campo, o Timão terá o Racing pela frente no estádio El Cilindro. Na ida, as equipes empataram em 1 a 1 nesta primeira fase de Copa Sul-Americana.

-O Corinthians é muito grande para alguém se achar melhor. Eu posso ter minha opinião, e o Ronaldo é na minha opinião. Ronaldo passou dez anos aqui, uma época muito boa. Seu Miranda (roupeiro) sempre fala bem dele, aprendi a admirar mais depois que o conheci melhor. Vou sempre respeitar, uma das metas é passá-lo. Mas minha opinião sobre ele vai ser sempre a mesma – disse Cássio ao LANCE! em janeiro deste ano.

OS OITO TÍTULOS

A história de Cássio no Corinthians segue sendo escrita no dia a dia, mas o passado de títulos do camisa 12 no Timão certamente vive fresco na memória da Fiel. Desde 2012 no clube, foram oito taças conquistadas, incluindo o Mundial de Clube e a Libertadores da América em 2012.

Três Campeonatos Paulistas (2013, 2017 e 2018), dois Brasileiros (2015 e 2017), uma Recopa Sul-Americana (2013), uma Libertadores (2012) e um Mundial (2012). Faz parte de uma fase extremamente vencedora do Corinthians.

O incrível número a ser atingido por Cássio foi pauta também da entrevista coletiva do equatoriano Junior Sornoza na véspera da partida contra o Racing. Recém-chegado ao clube, o meio-campista externou o pensamento dos novatos do Timão: a confiança em ter o camisa 12 em campo.

– Jogar com ele é muito importante para nós pela experiência que tem, nos dá muita confiança, um goleiro muito experiente e esperamos que a gente possa dar a ele uma alegria com tantas partidas que tem no clube com uma classificação no jogo de amanhã – ponderou Sornoza.

At the same time, a Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Associaltion official confirmed to him what he had been waiting to hear for a long time.After creating a series of firsts earlier in the 2012-13 season – Rasool became the first J&K player to be picked for India A, the first from the state to compete against an international side and also the first J&K cricketer to earn an IPL contract – he realised his long-cherished dream of earning a national call-up, when he was named in India’s ODI squad for the tour to Zimbabwe starting July 24.Once the selectors decided to rest R Ashwin, Rasool was their first choice as a replacement.With the kind of domestic season Rasool had – 33 wickets at just over 18 apiece in the Ranji Trophy, followed by a seven-wicket haul in a tour game against the Australians – he was far from being surprised after being included in the squad.”To be honest, I always expected to be picked in the squad. Not that I was overconfident but I thought if they (selectors) decide to rest a few regulars, then Zimbabwe (tour) would be my best chance to become an international cricketer,” Rasool told ESPNcricinfo. “And with the kind of consistent season I had, I think I was just in expecting a call-up.”At the same time, Rasool said it was “just the beginning and he has a long way to go”.”After proving the faith of all the cricket fans from the state, I hope I can do the same for the entire nation,” Rasool said.Bishan Singh Bedi, who coached Jammu & Kashmir last season, and has rated Rasool highly, reiterated the offspinner’s strengths. “He is technically very sound off-break bowler,” Bedi told . “I used to tell him that his offbreak is good enough and he doesn’t need a .”The opportunity may have come with India choosing to rest their first-choice bowlers, but Bedi said that for Rasool, it was a chance to show that he belongs to the highest level.”Why in the world should Rasool think about competing with Ashwin? Now he has made the cut and most importantly he should get proper match time.”Former India wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta, who worked with Rasool at the Pune Warriors during IPL 2013, said Rasool didn’t lose heart when he was not being included in the XI and responded by working even harder. “What I liked about him was his ability to soak in information,” he said. “Even our coach Allan Donald was impressed with his work ethics and sincerity. He is humble, always ready to learn and is a team man to the core.”

Pacer Marchant de Lange has been withdrawn from the South Africa A team after scans revealed that he had suffered a rib injury during the second unofficial Test against Australia A last week*. South Africa A are currently participating a tri-series against India A and Australia A.The injury surfaced during South Africa A’s second innings in the unofficial Test, forcing de Lange to leave the field after he had bowled just one over. In a press release issued by Cricket South Africa, Dr Shuaib Manjra, chairman of the CSA’s medical committee, said: “We hope to have Marchant playing again within a few weeks.” The board also clarified that the withdrawal was a precautionary measure taken in light of the stress fracture of the back that de Lange suffered a few months ago.De Lange, who touches 150 kph, had impressed on debut against Sri Lanka in 2011 with figures of 7 for 81 in one innings, but has since been plagued by injury problems.He had only just returned to the fold after being sidelined for 14 months, when he pulled out of South Africa’s tour of England last June. Presidente do Corinthians, Andrés Sanchez ainda não recebeu alta médica. O dirigente está internado desde a última quarta para tratar de uma encefalite viral, infecção considerada séria pelos médicos, e sairia do hospital nesta quarta, mas, por precaução, ficará ao menos mais uma noite no local.

Um dos exames feitos no dirigente apontou uma pequena alteração e na visão de Jorge Kalil, cirurgião que lidera o caso, é necessário o excesso de zelo neste momento.Quando estiver em casa, Andrés poderá terminar de tomar os antibióticos e precisará de alimentação e hidratação balanceadas.

A saída do Hospital São Luiz estava prevista para terça-feira, mas atrasou em um dia para que o cartola pudesse terminar de receber os antibióticos endovenosos sob os cuidados da equipe de infectologia.

Aos 55 anos, Andrés chegou a ficar na UTI (Unidade de Terapia Intensiva), mas, dia a dia, apresentou uma ótima melhora e reagiu bem aos medicamentos. Na próxima segunda-feira, quando já deve estar em casa, será outra vez reavaliado pelos médicos.

Both were the last three wickets of the first innings, both came in defeat, and inexplicably, both men did not immediately realise that it was a hat-trick.In Rubel’s case, it took a discussion in the following morning for him to suddenly remember, rather bashfully, that he took the wickets off the last ball of his second last over, and the first two balls of the last over. Neither did anyone at the ground figure out, as reflected in the newspaper reports of the Brothers Union-Gazi Tank match on Monday.”It was a hat-trick, of course,” Rubel told ESPNcricinfo. “I took the wicket of Suhrawadi Shuvo and then followed it up with Mehrab and Ehsanul’s wicket. I didn’t realise it at the time of the hat-trick.”Almost at the same time in Bogra, Baisya forgot too. I really needed this after the poor form, injury and illness in Zimbabwe.”Rubel also saw these wickets as an opportunity to remind the clubs that pace bowlers are necessary in the scheme of things. Previously, the BCB employed a pool system for national cricketers which meant that each club would be able to take just take two players each. Usually, the bigger clubs avoided filling up these spots with pace bowlers, who then had to find smaller clubs with less pay.”Bangladesh’s pace bowlers had trouble finding a club due to the pool system,” Rubel said. “But this year’s players-by-choice has opened up a lot of doors for the pacers. The clubs are not interested in us, so it is important to do well for our future.”Whether the clubs put emphasis on good fast bowling or not, an in-form Rubel is necessary for Bangladesh’s plans against New Zealand next month. He has used the league to get in form, and prove a point or two on the way.
