أعرب مهاجم فريق آرسنال، جابرييل جيسوس، عن سعادته بعد فوز فريقه على برينتفورد في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وفاز آرسنال على نظيره برينتفورد بنتيجة 3/1، ضمن منافسات الجولة التاسعة عشر من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، على ملعب “جي تيك كوميونيتي”.

وبهذه النتيجة، ارتفع رصيد آرسنال إلى النقطة 39 في المركز الثاني في ترتيب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، بينما تجمد رصيد برينتفورد عند النقطة 24 في المركز الثاني عشر.

وقال جابرييل جيسوس في تصريحات لـ”TNT SPORTS”: “أعتقد أن الفريق قدم أداءً رائعًا اليوم، إن المجيء إلى هنا واللعب بالطريقة التي لعبنا بها أمر مذهل. بالطبع، أهم شيء هو الحصول على النقاط الثلاث وقد فعلنا ذلك، ولكن أهم شيء هو كيفية رد فعلنا وقد فعلنا ذلك”.

وأضاف جيسوس: “أواصل العمل ويمكن للجميع في النادي أن يخبروني كيف أعمل كل يوم، ليس أنا فقط بل الجميع. أنا لا أستسلم وليس من السهل اللعب لنادٍ كبير مثل أرسنال”.

وتابع: “الآن أستطيع أن أسجل الأهداف وأنا سعيد للغاية، أريد أن أستمر في التسجيل لمساعدة الفريق”.

وعن إمكانية تنافس آرسنال على اللقب: “نعم بالتأكيد سننافس على لقب الدوري الإنجليزي هذا الموسم، العامان الماضيان كانا رائعين. لم نفز بالدوري لكننا كنا سنقاتل من أجل تحقيق اللقب”.

O Atlético-GO possui a quinta melhor defesa, com 17 gols sofridos, e o goleiro é um dos grandes responsáveis por deixar o Dragão longe do Z4. Uma das atuações mais importantes de Fernando Miguel aconteceu logo na primeira rodada. Contra o Corinthians, na Neo Química Arena, ele defendeu um pênalti e garantiu a vitória por 1 a 0.

CUIABÁ

Com a perspectiva de brigar para não cair, o Cuiabá se afastou da zona do rebaixamento e sonha com uma vaga na próxima Copa Sul-Americana. A equipe do Mato-Grosso conseguiu resultados expressivos e está no11º lugar.

ATLÉTICO-MG

GRÊMIO

O Imortal começou o Brasileirão com Renato Gaúcho no banco de reservas e apostando na contratação bombástica de Douglas Costa. O treinador agora está no Flamengo, e o atleta com passagens pela Seleção Brasileira ainda não teve uma participação em gol, além de lidar com lesões.

Com 16 pontos em 17 jogos, na penúltima colocação, a campanha do Grêmio é desastrosa e o risco de rebaixamento é real. A dupla Kanneman-Geromel não rende como nos anos anteriores, o meio perdeu Matheus Henrique e Diego Souza perdeu a titularidade para Borja. Se não melhorar no segundo turno, o Grêmio é forte candidato ao rebaixamento.

SÃO PAULO

O Tricolor paulista entrou no Brasileirão motivado com o título paulista e com esperanças de faturar o caneco nacional. A equipe patinou especialmente contra equipes de menor expressão e agora se vê fora da briga pela taça e ameaçada de não beliscar uma vaga para a Libertadores.

O departamento viveu lotado nesse primeiro turno, e Crespo encontrou dificuldades para escalar a equipe. O São Paulo soma 22 pontos em 18 jogos, e apenas uma posição separa o Tricolor do Z4. Se não conseguir embalar uma sequência, a luta contra o rebaixamento pode ser o destino de um elenco recheado de craques que estão abaixo, como Daniel Alves.

CHAPECOENSE

A Chapecoense ainda não venceu no Brasileirão. Na lanterna, a equipe catarinense teve o pior turno de um time na história do Campeonato Brasileiro de pontos corridos, com apenas sete pontos.

O retorno para a Série B parece ser uma questão de tempo para uma equipe que tem a segunda pior defesa e o terceiro pior ataque da competição.

SANTOS

O Peixe teve um começo frustrante de ano. O clube viu o técnico argentino Ariel Holán sair após o fiasco na Libertadores, e apostou suas fichas em Fernando Diniz. O ex-comandante do São Paulo não aproveitou a chance em outra grande equipe, deixando o Santos longe de uma vaga para a Libertadores e com números defensivos preocupantes.

A equipe sente a falta de jogadores importantes como Luan Peres e Kaio Jorge, que deixaram o Santos durante o Brasileirão. Marinho ainda não é o mesmo da temporada passada, e o Peixe sentiu a queda de rendimento de seu principal atleta, que se mostrou descontente e deseja sair.

BAHIA

Se não fossem os gols de Gilberto, empatado na artilharia do Brasileirão com Edenílson e Bruno Henrique, a situação do Tricolor de Aço poderia ser catastrófica. Com o fim do primeiro turno, a equipe de Salvador é a primeira fora do Z4, com 21 pontos.

O problema do Bahia é na parte defensiva. O Tricolor de Aço tem a pior defesa do campeonato, com 32 gols sofridos. Dessa forma, a diretoria optou por demitir Dado Cavalcanti, apostando em Diego Dabove para tirar o Bahia dessa situação.

As per Football Insider, Liverpool have joined a host of top Premier League outfits in the race for Eberechi Eze, who played a starring role in Crystal Palace's 2023/24 campaign, suggesting they are 'making their move' to try and sign him.

Oliver Glasner's outfit are confident that they can retain the Eagles' services, financially secure following Bayern Munich's £50m acquisition of Michael Olise, but Eze is understood to have a £60m release clause in his contract – Liverpool have all the knowledge needed to forge ahead with an official swoop.

Of course, all of the division's biggest hitters are sniffing around, so if Slot and his transfer team are serious in their interest, concrete action must be taken swiftly.

Luis Diaz's 23/24 season in numbers

Let's forget about Eze for a moment. Should Liverpool really seek to cash in on Diaz? The Colombian is widely accepted to be one of the most talented wingers in the Premier League and started every league match for the Reds during the second half of last season.

But the 27-year-old has faced criticisms centring on his output, posting just 13 goals and five assists across 51 matches in all competitions last term. He's one of the slickest dribblers around and has a tireless energy about him that makes him a nightmare for defenders, never afforded a moment to breathe.

As per FBref, the talent ranks among the top 6% of attacking midfielders and wingers across Europe's top five leagues over the past year for pass completion, the top 12% for shot-creating actions and the top 7% for touches in the attacking penalty area per 90, speaking of his technicality, creativity and eagerness to drive forward and into the danger area.

But in spite of that, he only ranks among the top 24% for progressive carries and the top 21% for successful take-ons per 90, suggesting that he doesn't wheel away with speed with the regularity that perhaps he's capable of.

Further evidencing this, during those blistering early days of Diaz's Premier League journey, during the latter half of the 2021/22 campaign (following his £39m January transfer from FC Porto) he ranked among the top 2% of positional peers in the English top flight for shot-creating actions, the top 7% for forward carries and the top 6% for successful take-ons per 90.

This regression of underlying numbers has seeped into his direct output, and if an outfit were to offer Liverpool a fee in excess of £50m for his signature this summer, allowing him to wander off to pastures new and targetting Eze might be a beneficial move for the fluency of Slot's side.

Why Eze would be an upgrade on Diaz

Silky-smooth and electrifying when capering forwards, Eze is the real deal, with the perfect goalscoring instinct to successfully partner his ball-carrying ability. It's no wonder that he's been described as a player that his opponents will "have nightmares" about by reporter Edmund Brack.

Having scored 21 goals and supplied eight assists across 51 starting appearances over the past two Premier League campaigns, Eze is proving himself to be one of Europe's foremost attacking talents, even ranking among the top 6% of attacking midfielders and wingers across Europe's top five leagues over the past year for goals scored and the top 9% for successful take-ons per 90 (FBref).

He's more clinical and more mobile than Diaz, and while they match up pretty well, it's clear that Eze boasts the more rounded skillset – as you will see below.

The Palace man would thrive at a top outfit such as Liverpool, with analyst Ben Mattinson even remarking: "Eze is a superstar who’s been held back by previously having too much responsibility."

His stop-start motions have even earned him a stylistic similarity to that of Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, according to FBref's model. His semblance to that of the Three Lions linchpin further suggests that he could be the perfect man to spearhead Slot's new regime from the left flank.

Saka, indeed, is a goalscoring maverick, scoring 20 times – and adding 14 assists – for the Gunners last term and proving his shooting skills and then some at Euro 2024.

The 22-year-old has averaged 2.3 dribbles and won 5.3 duels on average at the Germany-hosted tournament this summer, expounding in itself on Eze's similarities to one of the most highly-valued players in world football.

Liverpool must make their move quickly, for there are plenty of rival suitors eyeing a move themselves. Slot would not be let down, and neither would the roaring Anfield fanbase.

Since the appointment of Sean Dyche at the start of 2023, he’s done an excellent job of transforming the Everton squad after years of relegation near-misses from the Premier League.

The former Burnley boss has dragged the club out of any impending danger, with the Toffees looking a much more settled outfit than when he arrived at Goodison Park.

Dyche has built some strong on-field partnerships during his time on Merseyside, many have allowed his side to flourish and excel under his guidance.

James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite have worked well together in their first full campaign alongside each other, contributing to Everton’s record of just 51 goals conceded in 2023/24 – the best of any side outside the top four.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are two other first-team members who have often found themselves impressing together, with the pair contributing with 14 goals in the Premier League last season.

However, Dyche’s side could be about to create another partnership between two players who have previously impressed when featuring together elsewhere.

Everton register interest in Premier League talent

According to Football Insider, Everton are set to pursue a move to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer.

The 28-year-old joined Pep Guardiola’s side for £45m during the summer of 2022, but his stock has fallen rapidly in recent months, following a disappointing loan spell at the London Stadium that saw him feature just eight times for the Hammers, which also included a red card against Nottingham Forest.

He may not appear to be the player he was upon his move to the Etihad, but one thing is for sure, and that is that he’s desperately lacking confidence, with Dyche potentially one of the best managers to rediscover his previous form.

Why Phillips would be perfect for Jack Harrison

Attacker Jack Harrison has proven over the last few years that he’s an excellent Premier League talent, playing a key role for Leeds United despite their relegation back to the Championship in 2022/23.

In the three seasons before their eventual relegation, he managed 24 goals and 20 assists, starring alongside Phillips before his big-money move to champions Manchester City.

However, neither player have made a huge impression since their respective moves from Elland Road, with Harrison only managing to produce a tally of four goals and three assists for Everton last season – his lowest goal return during his time in England’s top flight.

As previously mentioned, the “phenomenal” Phillips, as dubbed by journalist Jules Breach, failed to make an impact during his temporary stint at West Ham, looking a shadow of his former self in recent seasons.

With the duo previously impressing together at Leeds, everyone knows what they are capable of when performing at their scintillating best, but it’s been a struggle for either player to shine when not playing on the same side.

A move for Phillips this summer could allow him to finally regain the impressive form that earned him his £45m move a couple of years ago, having previously started every game during England's surge to the Euro 2020 final – lauded as a "beast" under Gareth Southgate by former Holland midfielder, Nigel de Jong.

In need of a new lease of life amid a stagnant period for the Yorkshireman, moving to Merseyside could be just the answer for the £150k-per-week star, with the deal also allowing Harrison to potentially reach the heights he produced during his time at Leeds.

JOGO COMEÇA SEM GRANDES EMOÇÕES EM CHAPECÓ
O jogo iniciou com o São Paulo procurando ficar com a posse de bola, mas errando muitos passes. Em um esquema diferente com três atacantes, o Tricolor tentava chegar ao ataque, no entanto, esbarrava na forte marcação da Chapecoense.

A primeira chance de perigo aconteceu somente aos 15 minutos. Eder ganhou na ponta e cruzou. Welington pegou a sobra e a bola foi para Liziero, que limpou a marcação na meia-lua, mas foi travado pela defesa da Chape.

LUCIANO PERDE BOA CHANCE NA ARENA CONDÁ
Conforme o jogo acontecia, o São Paulo continuava com a mesma estratégia, de posse de bola e controle do jogo, mas abusava demais nos cruzamentos. O Tricolor só foi assustar o gol da Chape aos 27 minutos.Luciano recebeu ótimo passe dentro da área e finalizou para o gol, mas a bola foi para fora.

No minuto seguinte, Rigoni bateu escanteio e Arboleda cabeceou para defesa tranquila de Keiller.E o Tricolor seguiu em cima. Aos 31, Rigoni cruzou bola perigosa e Darlan afastou o perigo. A bola chegou a passar perto da trave da meta da Chapecoense.

RIGONI MARCA UM GOLAÇO PARA O SÃO PAULO E QUASE AMPLIA
O Tricolor continuou melhor na partida, e abriu o placar aos 35 minutos com um belo gol.Liziero avançou pelo meio, trombou com a marcação e foi desarmado. A bola sobrou para Rigoni, que dominou, ajeitou e soltou uma bomba no ângulo para inaugurar o placar.

O argentino não parou por aí. Com 41 minutos,ele arrancou do meio de campo, ganhou da marcação na velocidade e bateu por cima do goleiro Keiller, de cavadinha. A bola foi para fora.

A etapa final começou com a Chapecoense no ataque. Logo aos três minutos, após cobrança de escanteio, Volpi saiu mal do gole Mike cabeceou. A bola desviou na zaga e saiu para escanteio.

O Tricolor só assustou aos 18 minutos.Luciano avançou pelo meio e deixou Rigoni cara a cara com Keiller. O atacante do São Paulo tentou encobrir o goleiro e chutou para fora.

CALLERI QUASE MARCA O SEGUNDO DO SÃO PAULO
Com o passar do tempo, o São Paulo conseguia controlar a partida e quase chegou ao segundo com aos 27 minutos. Calleri recebeu na entrada da área, ficou frente a frente com o goleiro Keiller, mas na hora do chute foi bloqueado pela zaga da Chapecoense.

CHAPECOENSE EMPATA COM MIKE
Denner fez ótima tabela com Geuvânio na entrada da área, pela esquerda, e tocou para o meio. A zaga do São Paulo rebateu, mas sobrou para o próprio volante, que tocou para Mike completar para o gol vazio.

CALLERI MARCA, MAS GOL É ANULADO POR IMPEDIMENTO
O São Paulo foi ao ataque no final do jogo e chegou a marcar o segundo gol, mas foi anulado. Aos 40, Calleri recebeu na área, driblou Keiller e marcou, mas o argentino estava impedido na hora do passe.

Após o tento anulado, Calleri teve mais uma chance de gol. Com 43,o atacante cabeceou. Keiller soltou a bola depois do cabeceio, e o atacante finalizou com força novamente, para grande defesa do goleiro.
