كشفت تقارير صحفية منذ قليل تطورات مثيرة في ملف مستقبل نجم فريق ليفربول، محمد صلاح، مع النادي الإنجليزي، حيث يقترب عقده الحالي من الوصول إلى خط النهاية.
ومن المقرر أن ينتهي العقد الحالي للنجم صاحب الـ32 عامًا مع ليفربول في صيف 2025، أي نهاية هذا الموسم.
وسبق أن صرّح محمد صلاح أكثر من مرة، خلال الأسابيع الماضية، بعدم وجود مفاوضات أو عروض أو محاولات من جانب مسؤولي ليفربول من أجل تجديد عقده.
وذكرت تقارير صحفية في فترات ماضية أن السبب وراء عدم وجود اتفاق، أن محمد صلاح يريد عقدًا جديدًا لمدة 3 سنوات، في حين أن إدارة ليفربول لا تمنح عقودًا طويلة الأمد بالنسبة للاعبين الذين تخطوا سن الـ30.
ولكن يبدو أن تغييرًا طارئًا وقع في ملف مستقبل محمد صلاح في “الأنفيلد” حسبما ذكرت صحيفة “ميرور” الإنجليزية.

وذكرت الصحيفة أن محمد صلاح يقترب من توقيع عقد جديد لمدة عامين مع ليفربول، لإنهاء كل الشكوك المُثارة حول مستقبله مع النادي.
وأوضحت أنه قد تم التوصل إلى اتفاق بين مجموعة فينواي الرياضية، المالكة لنادي ليفربول، ومحمد صلاح بشأن عقده الجديد، وذلك بعد أشهر من المفاوضات.
وأشارت إلى أن وكيل محمد صلاح، رامي عباس، كان قد أبلغ ليفربول منذ فترة طويلة بأنهم يتطلعون إلى عقد جديد لمدة ثلاث سنوات، بينما كان النادي في البداية يرغب في تجديد صفقته لمدة عام فقط.
ولكن يبدو أن سخط جماهير ليفربول حول ذلك الوضع دفع إدارة النادي إلى تغيير موقفها والتوصل إلى حل وسط مع محمد صلاح، المتمثل في عقد جديد لمدة عامين.
وأكدت أن الأمور المالية لم تكن تمثل أي مشكلة أبدًا في مفاوضات محمد صلاح مع ليفربول، بينما كان مدة العقد هو نقطة الخلاف بين الطرفين.
وأشارت إلى أنه باستثناء حدوث أي عثرات في اللحظات الأخيرة، سيوقع محمد صلاح على عقد جديد مربح لمدة عامين، وهو ما سيكون خبرًا سارًا للغاية بالنسبة للمدرب آرني سلوت، الذي تيقن بشكل سريع كونه ورث جوهرة من سابقه يورجن كلوب.
كما أن محمد صلاح بتلك الخطوة سيوجه ضربة قوية للدوري السعودي الذي كان يأمل إضافة المصري إلى قوامه.

West Indies cricket are “blessed” to have Phil Simmons as coach, according to Cricket West Indies (CWI) president, Ricky Skerritt.In an unstinting demonstration of support, Skerritt made it clear that Simmons’ role as head coach remains “not in any way threatened” despite demands from one CWI board member, Conde Riley, for him to be sacked.”I want to assure West Indies cricket fans that Phil Simmons still has the full backing of CWI, no matter what has been said,” Skerritt said. “When all is said and done, Phil’s job is not in any way threatened by that letter.”Riley, also the president of the Barbados Cricket Association, suggested Simmons had “endangered the lives” of the entire West Indies touring party by temporarily leaving the bio-secure ‘bubble’ in Manchester to attend a family funeral.”There was no question of me not going to the funeral,” Simmons said. “It is a very, very hard time for us. Chelsea’s search for a new manager
According to a report from the Guardian, Chelsea are among the clubs that could move for Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna this summer.
Brighton & Hove Albion are in pole position to sign the Northern Irish boss, while Manchester United could also reunite with their former coach.
The Blues have been in talks with McKenna’s representatives in recent days and are said to admire a coach who has just claimed the Championship's "Manager of the Year" award.
However, a move to Chelsea may be the least likely outcome, given his previous ties to the Red Devils, Roberto De Zerbi leaving, and the nature of the Blues job.
Why McKenna could make Mudryk unstoppable
As every Premier League fan will be aware, Mudryk hasn’t exactly lived up to his £89m price tag since arriving at Chelsea.
The Ukrainian winger has been utilised quite frequently this season by Pochettino, but he’s been unable to get the best out of him, with the number 10 scoring five goals and providing two assists in 31 appearances.

This return simply isn’t good enough for a player who cost such an enormous fee, but he has started all of Chelsea’s last seven league games, which indicates the boss views him in his best lineup.
Nonetheless, given the way that Ipswich have played this season, it’s fair to presume that the arrival of McKenna would benefit Mudryk massively.

As you can see, the Tractor Boys have been absolutely fantastic during their promotion campaign, with McKenna installing an attacking philosophy that produces results, hence why he’s been called a “top-class” coach by analyst StatmanDave.
The young manager loves to utilise his wingers in his current 4-2-3-1 setup, which gives positional freedom to the left-winger in particular, which is where Mudryk would feature.

Chelsea loanee Omari Hutchinson and Nathan Broadhead have both benefited from this style of play this season, scoring ten and 13 goals, respectively. Hutchinson, in particular, was particularly vibrant on the left-hand side, scoring six goals in nine games from that role on the pitch.
A frequent occurrence of the duo’s game is that they like to drift inside, allowing the onrushing Leif Davies to attack out wide, which has worked perfectly given the defender’s league-high 18 assists, with Hutchinson's goal below showcasing the sort of positions the Ukraine international may find himself in.
Furthermore, to secure back-to-back promotions, it’s clear that the Ipswich boss knows how to get the best out of every individual on the field, and this would certainly instil confidence in Mudryk.
At 23 years of age, the attacker still has plenty of time to reach his true potential, and Boehly will hope that signing McKenna can turn his depreciating asset into the superstar he once promised.

The Blues could part ways with the England international by swooping for the young star.
With Champions League qualification secured, the next step for Aston Villa will be to ensure that they can be a competitive outfit in the competition next season, with Unai Emery in need of further additions to help bolster his chances across all fronts.

Due to his relative youth, the promising forward – who can play all across the front line or as a number ten – has actually made just three first-team appearances for his current side, albeit while chalking up 13 goals in only 18 games at U19 level, as well as three goals in 16 games for Rennes' B side.
It is on the international front where Lambourde has particularly dazzled after registering nine goals in only 15 outings for France's U17s, with such form having come amid comparisons to the aforementioned Diaby, due to the left-footer's ability to operate as a second striker or on the flanks.
As Kulig has noted, the emerging wonderkid's particular strengths lie in his pace, acceleration and dribbling, all facets of the game which Diaby has illustrated in abundance this term, the 24-year-old having been dubbed "electric" by pundit Gary Neville.
In terms of his dribbling prowess, the one-time Paris Saint-Germain man also ranks in the top 4% among his European peers for progressive carries per 90, showcasing a breathtaking ability to drag Emery's side up the pitch at breakneck speed.
While Diaby is a relatively young man himself, lining up a potential successor in the form of his teenage compatriot could prove a real masterclass, with Lambourde hoping to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Jhon Duran – the 20-year-old having scored eight times this season.
A player with an "extremely interesting future ahead", in the words of Kulig, it is easy to see why Lambourde has caught the attention of clubs across the continent, with Villa needing to ensure that they are at the front of the queue this summer.

The Lanka Premier League (LPL) has been postponed until at least mid-November, after Sri Lanka’s government insisted that anyone arriving on the island for the tournament would have to undergo a 14-day quarantine. With only 17 days to go until the scheduled start of the LPL, and with a two-week quarantine period representing a substantial cost for organisers, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) was forced to rethink the tournament’s timing.SLC had hoped Sri Lanka’s health ministry would allow a shorter and more flexible quarantine period for those directly involved in the tournament – players, broadcast crew, organisers and commentators – but with many of the potential new arrivals coming from nations dealing with Covid-19 outbreaks, government health officers had not consented.”We’re not the experts, so we had to go with what the health ministry is telling us,” SLC vice-president Ravin Wickramaratne told ESPNcricinfo. “There’s a window from November 20th to December 12th, so that is what we are planning.” It was not feasible to simply push the tournament back several weeks, as it would then clash with the proposed dates for the IPL, which the LPL is unlikely to be able to compete with in terms of viewer interest.ALSO READ: Bangladesh tour of SL could be rescheduled to OctoberSri Lanka has largely been successful in containing the virus, recording even fewer official deaths than New Zealand. وأوضحت أن اهتمام ليفربول والأندية الأخرى بـ رافينها لم يتوقف عند موسم الانتقالات الصيفي الماضي، حيث لا يزالون على تواصل مع ممثلي رافينها للإبقاء على اهتمامهم بصاحب الـ28 عامًا.
ووفقًا للشبكة نفسها، فإنه في إطار الغموض الذي يكتنف مصير محمد صلاح مع ليفربول، فإن النادي يرى أن رافينها قد يمثل بديلًا جيدًا للمصري في مركز الجناح.
